First day of school...

Yesterday was Corbins first day of school. Yes it is nice to have both boys in school but it is hard when the last one leaves the nest. When I picked him up he was on cloud nine. He could not wait for Chris to get home to show him what he did, So he asked me to take a picture and send it to him.

Wow what a man !!!!

So I had a party last night. And Chris was such a big help. He helped me out by cleaning the house on Tuesday and on top of that he made cookies. And they were a hit. I am so lucky to have such a great friend and most of all the best husband!!! He such a good dad. The boys always love to spend time hanging out with him. I love you so much Chris thanks so much for what you do for me.....

The newest member of the Packers

On monday August 4th 2008 at 5:15pm Miss Oakley Packer was born. The happy parents are Cory and Mickelle and big brother Austin. She weighted in at 7lb 13oz and 20in long. I love you Miss Oakley!!

Jackson is 8 !!!

Jackson turned 8 in July 27th and received a lot of gifts,which has be great for me. His favorite gift is Mario carts Wii and he loves to play with his uncles online. He is such a great big brother and has showed Corbin how to play, which I have been able to read the Eclipse and take it easy to heal. It is so fun to see him grow up to a great person.

ZOO DAY!!!

On Wednesday all us mom and kids went to the zoo which we do every year. Lydna makes the best lunch that no one would even come close to. It was very fun the kids were able to see the bird show which Corbin can not stop talking about it. The girls well, did there girl things. Jackson hung around aunt Kim most of the time. I think he just liked the stroller, but he does love his aunt Kim very much. If you watch my slide show you can see how many kids that has been added to the bunch. We always take a picture in front of the giraffes not sure why but it is fun to see the kids grow. They sure have changed the zoo a lot. It is nothing like it was when I was little. But it is so much more fun to see my boys have fun and watch the animals.

The kids decided to run in the Muray .5 mile run. Jackson came in around 7 minutes. And Corbin with his little sore legs ran his heart out. It was the most amazing thing to see because he was 1 of the last ones in. We could see it in his eyes how bad he was hurting. He wanted so badly to run this race because he said "Owen was running it". Aunt Sue ran most of the way with him cheering him on. The crowds on the sides cheering him as well. They both made it and both received a little metal, which they both are so happy to have. What an accomplishment it was for both. We are very proud parents.

We went to the dortor's and we got no good news. Chunks bone still are getting smaller. Here is a description of what it is off of WEBMD. Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease (LCPD) is one of a group of disorders known as the Osteochondroses. The Osteochondroses typically are characterized by degeneration (avascular necrosis) and subsequent regeneration of the growing end of a bone (epiphyses). In Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease, the growing end (epiphysis) of the upper portion (capital) of the thigh bone (femur) is affected. Researchers believe that an unexplained interruption of the blood supply (ischemia) to the capital femoral epiphysis results in degeneration (avascular necrosis) and deformity of the thigh bone in this area. Symptoms may include a limp with or without pain in the hip, knee, thigh, and/or groin; muscle spasms; delayed maturation of the femur (delayed bone age); mild short stature; and/or limited movements of the affected hip. The disease process seems to be self-limiting as new blood supplies are established (revascularization) and new healthy bone forms (reossifies) in the affected area. Most cases of Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease occur randomly for no apparent reason (sporadically). The doctor has high hopes for him with the fact that he is so young. She kind of scared me today when she said that if he was 8 she would have no othere choise but to do surgery. It is still hard as a parent to have your child have something wrong. Corbin will still be playing scorer as long as he does not have any issues. My litte guy is being so strong with it all of this. But mom is the big baby.....
